Lido Azzurro

Lido Azzurro is the historic location that has hosted the evening milongas of the Catania Tango Festival for twenty years.

It is the largest bathing establishment on the Catania coast and also the largest in Sicily.

Blue like the sea that bathes the very fine sand of a beach that appears infinite, where you can relax to the mere sound of the waves, and enjoy the cool evening breeze while dancing on the "Plaza", a stupendous circular dance floor that can accommodate over a thousand guests in an exclusive, dynamic and trendy environment.

Corte del Palazzo degli Elefanti

The Palazzo degli Elefanti (formerly Palazzo Senatorio) is a historic building used as a town hall located on the north side of the spectacular Piazza Duomo in Catania.

The internal courtyard where some afternoon milongas of the Festival will take place is articulated in length on the east - west axis with northern and southern porticoes of 5 arches each resting on pillars.

In the courtyard and in the other entrance halls some finds from various eras and contemporary works of art are exhibited, the single block known as Pietra del Malconsiglio stands out imposingly and alone in the west entrance hall.

In the entrance hall to the Court there are two eighteenth-century carriages, one of which is a sedan, used during the processions as part of the celebrations of Sant'Agata to lead the mayor to the church of Sant'Agata alla Fornace for the procession on 3 February aimed at renewing the offer of wax, reproposing the vote of the «Senate of Catania» to the beloved patroness and protector.

Piazza Vincenzo Bellini

The style of the Catania Theater is inspired by the French eclecticism of the Second Empire imposed on Paris by Charles Garnier with the Paris Opéra. The prospectus of the Bellini Theater is full of ornaments and allegories; the entrance porch for the carriages is very elegant, enclosed by iron gates.

Some afternoon milongas of the Festival will be held right in the square in front of the beautiful façade of the Theatre
