The 25th edition of the Catania Tango Festival awaits you from 4 to 8 August 2027 to celebrate a very special milestone together: 25 editions of tango, encounters, emotions and international embraces in Catania.
And for such an important anniversary, CTF is evolving: in 2027 it becomes the Catania Tango Festival & Marathon, with an even richer and more engaging format designed to let you experience tango throughout the day while enjoying the very best of a Sicilian summer.
The Festival returns to one of its historic venues, Lido Azzurro Catania, but with a completely new setting. Our main evening milongas will take place at Area La Battigia, a dedicated tango space just a few steps from the sea, where you can dance under the stars and soak up the atmosphere of warm August nights.
Each day will have a whole new rhythm: in the morning, our flash mobs will bring tango to Catania’s most beautiful squares and iconic locations, creating a special connection between the Festival and the city; in the afternoon, we move to the BLU Beach Club for the Afternoon Milongas, combining sea, music and relaxation; and in the evening, everyone comes together at Area La Battigia for the heart of the Festival & Marathon, dancing late into the night.
Five days in which Festival, Marathon, culture and a Sicilian holiday come together in one unforgettable experience, featuring an international cast, workshops and masterclasses, great music and countless hours to share on the dance floor.
And when you are not dancing, there is Catania to discover: the sea, its Baroque historic centre, Mount Etna, Sicilian cuisine and the warm hospitality that has always been part of the CTF experience.
For twenty-five editions, an invisible thread of music, passion and embrace has connected Catania and Buenos Aires. In 2027, we want to make that connection even stronger, welcoming tangueros and tangueras from all over the world to celebrate 25 years of Catania Tango Festival history together.
