The 25th edition of the Catania Tango Festival celebrates a very special milestone by returning to one of the iconic venues in its history: Lido Azzurro Catania, where the sea, summer and tango come together once again in a completely renewed format.
From August 4 to 8, 2027, the Festival becomes the Catania Tango Festival & Marathon: five days in which tango will accompany participants almost non-stop, from daytime until late at night, turning the Festival into a true continuous marathon of music, encounters, embraces and shared emotions.
Tango will also leave the traditional dance floor and take over the city through our now unmissable flashmobs around Catania, bringing the magic of the Festival into its streets and squares. In the afternoon, the experience moves to the seaside, with afternoon milongas at BLU Beach Club and right on the shoreline, dancing just steps away from the sea, surrounded by sunshine and the unique atmosphere of a Sicilian summer.
At sunset, the Festival will move to the Area La Battigia at Lido Azzurro, which will become the beating heart of the CTF 2027 evenings and nights: a large dance floor just a few steps from the sea, under the Catania sky, featuring international DJs, outstanding tango artists and dancers from all over the world.
From afternoon milongas to the great nights at La Battigia, with flashmobs in the heart of the city in between, every day will be a journey through tango, offering different rhythms and atmospheres but following one common thread: experiencing the Festival from day to night, without ever breaking the magic.
For its 25th edition, the Catania Tango Festival returns to its roots while looking towards the future: we are going back to Lido Azzurro, with an even richer, more dynamic and engaging format, bringing together tango, the sea, the city and the pleasure of a Sicilian holiday in one great international experience.
