How to Move

Fontanarossa - Vincenzo Bellini Airport is about six kilometers from the center, to which it is connected every 25 minutes by the AMTS Alibus shuttles (€4).

In the city you can get around with AMTS public transport (https://www.amts.ct.it/percorsi-e-orari) and with the FCE Metro (https://www.circumetnea.it/le-nostre-linee/) that reaches the Monte Po district, on the border with Misterbianco (integrated ticket €1.20).
The Giovanni XXIII stop is just a few meters from the ‘Le Ciminiere’ complex, the venue for all the festival milongas.

In Catania there are the AmiGO car sharing services (https://www.amigosharing.it/#/map) and the sharing of electric scooters.

To get out of the city the ideal is to rent a car. Alternatively there are the AST extra-urban buses (http://www.astsicilia.it/) towards the coast (Catania - Aci Castello - Acireale line) and towards Etna (daily connection with the Sapienza refuge from Piazza Giovanni XXII, €6.60).

Convenient for the coast are the trains of the Messina-Catania-Siracusa line (also stopping at Taormina-Giardini).
